DAVID POOLE

As one of the five founder members of Kids in Need I have been actively involved now for some 34 years. During this time I have served in various capacities and am the current Chairperson of the Charity.

The whole of my working life was spent in the public sector having been employed in an administrative capacity with the Metropolitan Police.

The experience and skills acquired during my career together with my past and current involvements with both Special Needs Schools and Parent / Teacher Associations have proved invaluable in enabling me to contribute to the valuable work being done by a dedicated team of volunteers on behalf of such a deserving group of young people.

COLIN HART

I first became aware of Kids in Need in 1998 after my son was diagnosed with having a number of special need conditions. Kids in Need granted his wish of a go-cart adapted for his needs. At that time I was so impressed with the dedication and passion shown by the members of the charity that I wanted to help raise funds so more wishes could be granted for other children.  I therefore organized a Charity Golf Day at Bishops Stortford Golf Club which was a tremendous success and now in its 15th year has become a very well supported annual event.

I have set up and run my own businesses since I was 18 years of age. Currently a director of 2 companies related to Storage and Property I have many contacts which helps support the work I do for the charity.

I have helped the charity raise funds since 2000 and accepted a request to become a trustee in 2014.

I am married with five children.
