Mason Meets Up With His Hero in Paris!

Against all the odds, Mason recovered from an horrific bout of meningococcal septicaemia as a toddler but was left with life-changing injuries. These have proved a tough challenge for both Mason and his family. But they haven’t dented this little lad’s spirit or his lust for life. Kids in Need funded a much-needed trip for Mason and his family to finally meet one of his heroes.

Mason’s grandmother, Elaine, had this to say about the experience:

Mason had the most wonderful time at Disneyland Paris, it was so amazing to see this little boy in awe of everything around him and experience so much pleasure, one of the highlights was seeing his idol Lightning McQueen.

As you know Mason and his family have had a tough time over the last couple of years and this trip has provided lots of fantastic memories for everyone!

From the moment we boarded Eurostar we were looked after and this experience alone excited Mason, we arrived in Paris and were transported straight away into the Magical Land that is Disneyland Paris – such wonder and magic through the eyes of an innocent child is just the best experience anyone can have.

With love and massive heartfelt thanks from Mason and his family. much!

Dublin Zoo Wish for Patrick

14 year old Patrick who suffers with severe scoliosis and kyhphosis.
Patrick lives in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland with mum Wendy. His wish was to visit Dublin Zoo and KIN arranged this for 5th July.

The following comment is from his mum together with pictures.

Dear Linda and all at Kids in Need

Just a few lines to thank you all for our overnight treat to Dublin zoo..the whole experience was just wonderful, Patrick was treated like royalty from start to finish...the hotel was amazing, the day of the zoo was perfect and may I say a little too warm, because of the heat the big animals were sleeping. Patrick thought this was funny, he got up close to the sea lions which was the highlight of the day he just loved them, the whole trip was brilliant from start to finish. Patrick slept in this morning as he was just shattered. I brought him a cuddly sloth with his spending money, we cant thank you enough.
Please find attached a few pictures from the day,
Much love
Wendy & Patrick.
